WhatsApp Message Sending Limits — Reflys Guide

When using WhatsApp through Reflys, there are certain rules about how many people you can message each day. These are called messaging limits.

These restrictions are applied to the numbers of different individuals (referred to as unique contacts) to whom you can send out messages within a 24-hour period- not the number of total messages. Also, if someone messages you first, you can reply to them freely within 24 hours, and those replies do not count towards the limit.

Pro Tip:

Before sending a bulk message (broadcast), always check your current messaging limit to ensure it matches the number of people you want to reach.

WhatsApp Messaging Tiers

WhatsApp uses four different levels (called tiers) to control how many people you can message in a day:

You can check your current tier by going to:

Business Manager → Business Settings → WhatsApp Accounts → Settings → WhatsApp Manager → Phone Numbers

There you’ll see the Messaging Limit for each phone number you’ve added.

How to Upgrade Sending Limits

Your phone number is automatically upgraded to a higher tier based on how you use it.

To qualify for an upgrade, you need to:

  • Keep your quality rating above “low”
  • Reach the full messaging limit for your current tier over a 7-day period

If both conditions are met, WhatsApp may increase your limit. The upgrade usually happens shortly after you meet the requirements.

Understanding Quality Rating

Each phone number connected through Reflys has a quality rating, which shows how people are reacting to your messages.

This rating is based on the last 7 days of activity and depends on:

  • How many people block or report your number
  • How often your messages are marked as spam or unwanted
  • You can find your quality rating in:

Business Manager → Business Settings → WhatsApp Accounts → Settings → WhatsApp Manager → Phone Numbers

There, each phone number will show its current rating.

Quality Rating Levels

If your rating drops to red (low), you’ll receive a warning inside your Business Manager. You may also get an email notification.

Phone Number Status

In the same place where you check your messaging limit and quality rating, you’ll also see the status of your phone number.

Business Manager → Business Settings → WhatsApp Accounts → Settings → WhatsApp Manager → Phone Numbers.

     Are three There possible statuses:

Note: Even if your quality stays low, your status will eventually return to Connected, but your messaging tier might be lowered.

How to Improve Your Quality Rating

Here are a few simple ways to keep or improve your quality rating:

1. Review your recent message templates

Look at any templates added in the past 7 days. If some are getting negative feedback, stop using them or update them

2. Follow WhatsApp’s messaging rules

Make sure all messages (manual, automated, or broadcast) follow WhatsApp’s Business Policy

3. Only send messages users agreed to receive

If a user opted in to receive order updates, don’t send them unrelated messages (like promotions or account tips), unless they’ve agreed to that too.

4. Keep your messages relevant

Always send clear, helpful, and expected content. Unwanted messages result in negative responses and can lead users to block or report your number.
