How to Preview Automations in Reflys

It is essential to preview your automation before publishing it live. It allows you to ensure how everything is going to look and how the users see your automation. With Reflys, you should not have a hard time previewing your automation at every step to ensure it is working and sending the correct message.

Let’s discuss how you can preview your automation in Reflys

Click the Preview Button While Creating Automation

When you are creating an automation, you will find the Preview button in your selected platform (WhatsApp, Instagram, or Messenger), which is located at the top-right side of your screen in the Flow Builder.

By pressing this button, you will test your automation in real time.

This mode opens a mobile-like screen (smartphone widget) right inside the Flow Builder. You don’t need to log into your messaging app for this. It’s great for quickly checking how your messages appear.

What You Can Do in This Mode:

You can see your messages just like your users would see them.
You can check spelling mistakes and fix them on the spot.
You can test the order of messages to make sure everything flows naturally.
You can make changes and immediately test them again without switching tabs.

Limitations in This Mode:

While this is a quick and useful preview option, there are some limitations because this mode doesn’t use real user data or connect with external apps.

For conditions like “If the user commented on your post or mentioned your story,” this step will not be previewed. You’ll need to manually pick the next step.
Dynamic content blocks like galleries, randomizers, or buttons might not behave exactly as they perform in real conversations.
Start Automation, Smart Delay, or Action blocks won’t function or appear, as they are backend actions.
Email and SMS testing are not supported in a preview mode.
User input validation (e.g., entering a wrong phone number) won’t show error messages.
Multiple-choice input blocks and timeout settings won’t function here.

This mode is best used while you’re working on your automation and making changes

Smartphone Widget Controls

When you’re using the “In Reflys” preview mode, a phone-like screen appears on the right side. You can interact with it like a real user. Here are some controls available:

Restart/Refresh: Click the refresh icon to run the automation again from the beginning. It is also useful once you have done the updating and want to see your changes.
Close Button: You can close the preview anytime. All you need to do is reopen it, and it will reboot itself into the beginning (it will not save your previous history).
